The Kyushu Whisky Co., Ltd was founded in 2023 with a mission to celebrate and elevate the timeless craft of Japanese whisky. Steered by founder Daniel Saw and supported by a highly skilled team of experts, the company is set on a mission to bring new satisfaction to the world through new whisky expressions that reflect the distinctive character of Japan’s diverse regions.
Forming strategic collaborations with the country’s renowned and historic distilleries, respectively located in Yamanashi and Miyazaki,
these partnerships enable The Kyushu Whisky Co., Ltd to produce distinctive, innovative variants and masterful blends that push the boundaries of whisky craftsmanship.
Inspired by the purity of nature, each whisky in the collection uses pristine spring water sourced from the natural surroundings of the distilleries. The production process honours tradition while embracing innovation, ensuring that every whisky undergoes meticulous distillation and is matured in carefully selected sherry, bourbon and American oak casks. The process infuses the whisky with complex flavours and aromas, delivering a taste experience that captivates a growing base of global connoisseurs eager to explore new and exciting taste profiles.

DANIEL SAW

As Managing Partner, Mr. Daniel Saw brings a wealth of experience in food and beverages services honed at respected multinational companies and regional giants.
Daniel has four decades of experience in F&B management in addition to broad expertise in multi-national FMCG cultivated over the years. The early part of his career was marked by successful years at Cadbury Schweppes and Kraft Foods International, and later Lee Kum Kee. There, he was credited with not just its expansion across the greater China region, but also the creation of its professional food services team, shaping the impressive growth of the company within a year and elevating it into a household name for sauces.
Prior to founding The Kyushu Whisky Co., Ltd, Daniel has accumulated extensive management expertise in Asia Pacific through his roles as President of Asia at Campbell Soup Co - a company quoted on the New York Stock Exchange, and CEO of publicly-listed China Huiyuan Juice Group Limited, leading the growth and stability of these two organisations through a pivotal time. He also served as Managing Director - Fung Investments at multinational Li & Fung.
Well-respected for his leadership, strategy and innovation, he was honoured with numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

A visionary risk-taker who fuses insights with inspiration, Daniel is well-positioned to ensure The Kyushu Whisky Co. Ltd’s growth and sustainability in today’s evolving social and business climate.

As CEO of The Kyushu Whisky Co., Ltd, Jane has over a decade of experience at Toyota Tsusho Corporation, one of Japan’s seven largest business conglomerates comprising diverse operating divisions spanning automotives, energy, metals, chemical & polymer, food and beverages, and logistics.
In 2016, Jane helmed Hong Kong-based Li & Fung Limited’s food equity fund. During this time, she was engaged in the strategic acquisition of Hamadaya Sauces – a 200-year-old Japanese family-style business in Japan, and its subsequent operations management.
Under her leadership and taking on a modern management approach, she expanded its manufacturing operations while incorporating a culture of innovation, to achieve a rejuvenation of the brand across its global distribution network. She played a key role in broadening the company’s reach with her strategic foresight by uniting the heritage of a traditional Japanese enterprise with global market synergies.
Since 2022, she has taken the lead in boosting the accessibility of Japanese whisky products to an expanding global consumer base. As its CEO, Jane brings not only huge expertise but also excitement in creating a bold future of whisky enjoyment, one where The Kyushu Whisky Co., Ltd. is set to blossom.
IKUYA YOSHIMURA

He has strategic experience in international organisations for a combined 16 years. Engaged in economic and national security, Mr Yoshimura has served as Chief of Kumamoto Higashi Police Station, Director of the Community Safety Department, and Director of the Security Department from years 2006 to 2012.
Mr Yoshimura also founded Glocal Vision Pvt. Ltd, a company focused on end-to-end staffing solutions, and has broad experience in specialised fields of crisis management, international strategy, tourism strategy. He has contributed his voice in crisis management and business development to various television programmes and workshops.
He currently holds multiple positions as:
